The Philips voice recorder app is a great add-on or even stand-alone recorder for many of our customers. Recording, editing and sending recordings from a smartphone is convenient and keeps authors and transcriptionists connected to their document workflow from anywhere.
A question we have been asked frequently is how to manually delete a recording from the app. So here’s a quick guide on how to keep your recording list clean.
For the app on iPhone:
Step 1: Launch the Recorder App.
Step 2: Tap the icon in upper-right corner to access the recordings list.
Step 3: Select the option for “All” recordings.
Step 4: Swipe right on the recording you want to delete and select it by tapping the box that appears to the left of the recording.
Step 5: After checking the box, tap the “Edit” option that appears in the lower-right corner.
Step 6: You will have the option to delete the selected recording(s).
Step 7: Confirm that you would like to delete the recording(s) you selected, and it should be cleared from your device!
For the app on Android:
In order to delete a recording from the voice recorder app for Android, the process and the app interface is very similar to the iPhone. The only difference is step 5. After checking the box of the recording you want to delete, instead of selecting the “Edit” button in the bottom right corner, tap the menu button (3 dots) in the top right corner. You will then have the option to delete a recording.
