We took a chance to try something different and it totally paid off!
Last month we set up our booth at the 76th NATA Clinical Symposia & AT Expo that took place on June 25-26 in Orlando, Florida. Our team had the opportunity to meet with athletic trainers and the broader healthcare community, presenting our voice tech solutions that can contribute in new ways to simplify their workflow. With the upcoming release of our newest product Philips SpeechMike Ambient Wearable AI Assistant, along with Philips SpeechLive, our cloud solution for speech-to-text, we can support to meet the growing needs of quick and accurate documentation for this industry.
We connected with our colleague Matt Colonna, who was at the show, to learn more about his experience and learnings. Letโs read on.
What were the key learnings from this event?ย ย
AT Expo demonstrated that professionals in the healthcare, and education sectors are actively seeking efficient, AI-powered documentation solutions. I learned from attendees that there is a big focus on eliminating manual typing and enhancing workflow connection with their current systems, particularly EHR and athletic injuryโฏcase management solutions. Documenting the interactions with athletes is a major daily task and cuts into their hours that could be spent caring for their clients.
Any insights or learnings related to the product, technology partners, or integrations?
Philips SpeechLive continues to resonate strongly, particularly the new AI transcription features and mobile app enhancements. The ability to securely dictate and turn voice into text automatically – even on the go – was a major talking point among booth visitors.
There was strong interest in our current and potential integrations with EHR platforms. Several attendees expressed interest in deeper API-level partnerships to streamline their documentation workflows.
How was your overall experience atย AT Expo?ย ย
Fantastic!ย The event was well-organized with a very interested audience.ย It allowed us to engage directly with experts who are passionate about increasing efficiency through technology.ย
Anything new that stood out or caught your attention during the event?ย ย
The increasing awareness of AI-driven documentation tools was notable. Attendees came prepared with specific questions about automations. The awareness of professional level security and compliance is still building. It helped us outline the importance of due diligence to make sure any client data is handled in line with data protection guidelines. With a high need for technology assistance in their work lives there is a great desire to do better and learn more.
What was your biggest takeaway from the event?
Speed and accuracy are top priorities for users and integrations will be important as the market evolves. Those who visited our booth were most interested in how SpeechLive fits into their existing tool set and how quickly it can deliver ROI through time saved time on documentation as those standards are continually evolving in this market.
We look forward to keeping up the conversation and cherish the many connections we made at this tradeshow. It was a first for us and it will not be our last engagement with the athletic trainer market.
