Philips SpeechLive just got better!

The cloud dictation and speech-to-text solution Philips SpeechLive works wherever you need it – from your desktop to your phone. The latest release focused on optimizing the user experience and extending the capabilities of the Web App when logging in via a browser.

New sidebar for typists with real-time workflow updates

The collapsible sidebar enables typists to quickly see the teams they are working for and easily assess the priority of jobs. By dragging the frame to the desired width, they can use viewing space efficiently.

Emma, a typist at a law firm, handles dictations from several lawyers and teams. On a busy day, she receives numerous dictations from different lawyers (authors), each with varying priorities and lengths. Emma sees Author 2 has a dictation totaling 5 minutes, while Author 1 has a dictation of 2 minutes. Emma decides to prioritize the transcription job for Author 1 and collapses the sidebar to free up screen space while transcribing.

Using the new SpeechLive sidebar, Emma can easily monitor her workload. The in-tray shows a real-time list of all authors and teams she is connected to, along with the number of pending dictations and their total length per author. This allows her to quickly assess which tasks are most important and she can effectively prioritize and manage her jobs.

Real-time dictation list updates

In a busy legal firm, attorneys frequently dictate, while secretaries, typists, or legal assistants would transcribe these dictations. With Philips SpeechLive’s real-time, event-based auto-refresh, the dictation lists and sidebar instantly automatically update whenever a new dictation is added, or an existing one is changed. This real-time update reduces delays and ensures faster document turnaround.

Total minutes for process time in reports

In a legal firm, managing dictation turnaround times is crucial for meeting tight deadlines and ensuring smooth operations. Philips SpeechLive now offers detailed reporting by displaying the total minutes spent by each typist on processing dictations, giving a clear view of individual productivity.

Administrators can review the total minutes each typist spent on dictations, helping them identify which typists are completing tasks faster or handling more complex workloads. Additionally, the .csv export includes details on dictations workflows, for example, if dictations were picked up by one typist but finished by another. This transparency allows the firm to better allocate resources, improve team productivity, and manage client expectations for legal document turnaround times.
